Membership

 

AAMA is a non-profit organization of mediators and those who share an interest in the value of alternative conflict resolution methods.  Your membership will support the services the Association provides to the Bexar County mediation community.

Outreach to help raise the public’s awareness about the value of mediation

Membership Requirements

Regular Members – A person who has been certified by a dispute resolution center (as authorized and organized by the county government, such as the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center located in San Antonio)as having completed a training  program for mediators lasting at least 40 hours or a person who meets or exceeds these training qualifications.

Associate Members-A person who wishes to support the Association and to participate in its activities, but who is otherwise ineligible to be a Regular Member.

Maintenance of Membership. In order to maintain Regular Membership after acceptance in the Association, the member must 1) complete six hours of in-service mediation training, or 2) mediate six formal disputes, or 3) perform six hours of intake service at a Dispute Resolution Center, or 4) participate in any combination of the above three selections to total six hours or 5) provide mediation instruction for at least three hours.  It shall be the responsibility of the Regular Member to pay the prescribed dues and certify that he/she meets the required qualifications.

Annual Membership Dues

Regular Member -  $30.00

Silver/Olive Branch Member - $75.00

Gold Star Member - $100.00


Associate Member - $15.00 (students)
